Vacation

God is good. I don’t think I will ever be able to say it enough. The elders in our church graciously let Dad have three weeks of vacation in a row in stead of in small chunks. It has been extremely restful for my Dad and just what he needed. The first week we mostly spent just hung around the house. The next we had a dear friend from Florida come and visit us. It was wonderful to spend time with him. The last week God blessed us with a trip to Duluth. We stayed in a hotel right on Lake Superior at Canal Park Lodge.

Wile there we visited Gooseberry Falls, climbed on rocks, went swimming in the pool, watched the tall ships and more and on top of all that no one was sick! The weather was beautiful. It was never too hot but never to cold either. It was fun but at the same time restful.

Life

Life goes by so fast. This Summer has gone by really fast for me, I can’t believe that it’s almost the end of July! Sometimes I enjoy to just stop every thing and wander off to look at the God’s wonderful world. I enjoy do this the most at my Grandparents. They live on a lake and in some woods. A couple of weeks ago I was canoeing on their lake with my Mom. The sun was setting and the lake was glass. And we stopped paddling and looked at the sunset. I was foolish and didn’t get a picture but it was BEAUTIFUL. Sometimes I take God’s world for granted. I need to work to appreciate every thing. The things we think are so ordinary aren’t. It is amazing that the sun rises every morning. God is AMAZING!

Summertime…

I hope you all had a great 4th of July, if you were spending time at a party or just hanging with your family at your house. Our family happened to go to my Grandparent’s house at Rabbit Lake. We had a lot of fun it was one of my Dad’s week of vacation so we stayed until Thursday.

Sorry for not posting recently. I may slack off a little during summer. We have had such beautiful days it is really hard to stay in and post, there is so much to do! I will try to keep you at least partly updated as my summer continues.

Big praise by a little person

I was up at my Grandma and Grandpa Molesky’s with my cousin Emma (who is 4) on Monday to Thursday. We swam, gardened, fished and more. The first day we were fishing I cast and as my bobber hit the water it went down. I retrieved a 3 pound Bass from the dock! That night when Emma went to bed Grandma turned on some tunes for bed. The one she chose was Valley Of Vision. Her favorite songs were All That I Need and Valley Of Vision. By the 3rd day she was singing these songs. I didn’t get it caught on tape but there is almost nothing sweeter that hearing a 4-year-old girl singing these words::

Time outside

Colton and Dad were playing a game of catch, I was playing with the dog, Nehemiah was riding his bike and Mom was picking weeds out of the garden. (Ezra is up with Grandma, Grandpa and his cousin Thomas.) As Mom was picking out the weeds she calls out to us points out this…

Nehemiah, Arwen (our dog) and I run over. She explains to Nehemiah how a squirrel must have buried the nut and it grew this roots that nourished the plant.

I looked closely at the nut and how the root comes out of it. Now in our garden this is only a weed but to me this is a work of art only the best artist could make, our Father God. It just blows me away.

In Genesis 1 it says,

And God said, “Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, on the earth.” And it was so. 12 The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

Father’s Day

This is a day to honor our Fathers.

Ex. 20:12 “Honor your father and mother, that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you.”

Show them that you love them. You don’t need to buy them a fancy gift or throw a big party but do something that they enjoy doing.

My father is a loving Father and Pastor. He works hard every day to serve his flock… yet he still has time to come home and wrestle with the boys. I go on dates with my Dad. We sit at Starbucks coffee shop I talk about my week he listens and helps me were I need it. He has helped me with my walk with Christ.

Another Father that comes to mind is our heavenly Father. This a day to honor him as well. His love is indescribable. In fact he loves us SO much that he gave his son for that. Now that is love from a father no earthy father has.

Malachi 1:6 “A son honors his father, and a servant his master. If then I am a father, where is my honor? And if I am a master, where is my fear? says the Lord of hosts.”
